Ray Hendrickson serves as Chairman and President of Global Christian Book Fund. He brings decades of experience in Christian publishing and distribution, having started Christianbook.com (formerly Christian Book Distributors/CBD) in 1978 alongside his brother out of their parents’ home. Ray served as President and CEO of Christianbook for 17 years (2004-2021), building it into one of the largest Christian retailers in North America, with more than 500 employees and millions of customers served. His leadership was marked by a commitment to making Christian resources accessible and by a culture of genuine care for people.

Focused on the global church, Ray brings that same conviction to GCBF: that the right book in the right hands can change a life. He chairs the board with a long view toward sustainable, faithful partnership with pastors and church leaders across the Global South.
