Where We Work

Around the world, the church is growing fastest where trained leadership is scarcest.

From the megacities of Latin America to the villages of sub-Saharan Africa, the unreached corners of Asia’s 10/40 Window to the spiritually resistant heart of post-Christian Europe, pastors and church planters are shepherding congregations with little more than their Bible and whatever books they’ve managed to find along the way.

Global Christian Book Fund partners with Bible schools, church networks, and ministries on the ground across four continents to close that gap — putting sound theological resources into the hands of the leaders shaping the church’s future, wherever that growth is happening.

Africa

Africa's church has grown from 9 million believers a century ago to 380 million today, with as many as 90% of its pastors serving without any formal theological training. Global Christian Book Fund partners with Bible schools and church networks across the continent — including in the rapidly growing francophone world — to put the right theological resources and Bibles into the hands of the pastors and leaders shaping that growth.

Asia Pacific

Asia is home to 60% of the world's population, yet only 4.4% of Asians are evangelical Christians, and the region holds the greatest concentration of unreached people groups on earth. The church is growing — more than 415 million believers strong — but faster than trained pastoral leadership can keep pace, and theological resources are often scarce. Global Christian Book Fund partners with Bible schools and church networks across the Asia-Pacific region to resource the next generation of leaders.

Europe

Europe was once the seat of Christianity and the Reformation, but only about 10% of Europeans now attend church weekly, making it one of the most spiritually resistant mission fields in the world. Amid this decline, evangelical movements are growing in pockets of Eastern Europe and the Balkans, where many are encountering the gospel for the first time. Global Christian Book Fund resources church leaders throughout Europe with the theological tools to plant, strengthen, and sustain churches in the continent's most spiritually neglected corners.

Latin America & the Caribbean

Latin America's evangelical population has grown from roughly 1% in 1900 to nearly 17% today, over 100 million strong — driven largely by local pastors rather than foreign missionaries. Yet theological training hasn't kept pace, leaving many pastors, especially in rural and indigenous communities, with little access to sound biblical resources. Global Christian Book Fund partners with Bible schools and church networks across Latin America and the Caribbean to put the right resources in the hands of the leaders building the church there.
