We are thankful for our partnership with Training Leaders International (TLI), an organization dedicated to bringing theological education to communities where it is needed most.
A Need Too Large to Ignore
The gap became strikingly clear when TLI teacher Timothée Davi reached out while leading a course in Cameroon. His message was sobering: systematic theology resources are virtually nonexistent in the country, and on the rare occasions when books can be found, they carry a price tag equivalent to three months’ salary for the average person. For students hungry to grow in their faith and calling, that barrier is simply insurmountable.
What makes TLI’s work even more remarkable is the dedication of its teachers. Every instructor raises their own financial support and personally covers the costs of traveling abroad to teach. Asking them to also fund the course materials needed for their students is a burden too heavy to bear alone.
Books That Change Lives
That is where we come in. Through our partnership with TLI, we provide essential theological books to their teachers before they depart on international teaching trips — ensuring that when they arrive in classrooms across the globe, they are fully equipped to serve their students well.
The most recent shipment of books carries a value of $3,000. Seeing photographs from the field — books in hand, students engaged, teachers inspired — is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
